Project Mobius: The Freedom Fighters

Alrighty, so this group of fighters wasn't always these four.

It was originally a sole person fighting against Robotnik, with almost no organization or planning of what could happen-Sonic himself. While successful, Sonic alone was only able to keep Robotnik's forces at bay, not pushed back. After the events of Sonic 1, Sally got better enough to at least move around in a wheelchair and create a dynamic duo with Sonic against Robotnik. As more people joined in the quest to end Robotnik's reign, more strategic plot points, thanks to Miles 'Tails' Prower's ingenuity and Amy Rose's fighting prowess, were achieved, and the amount of power Robotnik help over Mobius began to decrease, slowly by slow...

Roles of the Freedom Fighters:

Sonic The Hedgehog(15): The closest you'll get to a founder. The main link and force able to actually do serious damage to Robotnik's fortresses and bases with great speed, Sonic alone was responsible for the many victories in the fight for freedom. While cocky in nature, Sonic is a man-or hedgehog- of action more than words, knowing that the fate of his world rests on his shoulders, and the rest of the world shall fall with him should he fail. He almost always carries a special ring recovered by Sally Acorn in a backpack of his, for it has the ability to enable him to activate special abilities and even cheat death, so long as it has enough charge to negate the attack (For instance, if hit with a blade that should have killed Sonic, but his ring is at half charge, it will only wound him). Once the charge is used up, however, Sonic'll have to rely on his wits and speed to survive, or find other, less powerful rings scattered across the many ring wells on Mobius.

Miles "Tails" Prower (8): Young but dertermined, this little kit is a budding mechanical genius. No one knows how he was able to do such feats such as create a plane at age 6, but the only thing that hints at such a rapid growth of knowledge are his double tails, perhaps a mutation that evens out his gift. Unlike Dr. Robotnik, who strip mines the land to create ore for his robots, Tails relies on scraps of old metal that is found in many locations that used to contain human machinery- or, if it seems a last resort, will only pick from the ground what is already exposed. Second off, Tails creates technologies that help aid his friends, such walkie-talkies that enable the Freedom Fighters to communicate with one another. Being so young, however, doesn't save him from a few problems. For one, the boy is often a chatterbox about his machines and plans, often letting lose a secret plan by accident to be intercepted by a wandering Badnik. Tails is also a tad too serious for his age, not one to joke or play like any child his age, leading him to be an outcast from his home island before meeting Sonic the Hedgehog.

Amy Rose/"Rosie" (13): A bold and passionate young lady, Amy is energetic in the Freedom Fighters efforts to help rescue Mobius from Robotnik's iron fist. Having grown up in a family of fighers, Amy is very talented in the skills of Piko Piko Hammers, her strength enhanced with very special power rings on each wrist. While they grant her immense power at such a young age, the rings hinder her weight, making her sink in water very easily and have a slow speed. What more, the rings need charging to replenish their power, which she does every two weeks. Usually the first to run headfirst in a battle, Amy takes pride in her work, in hopes of impressing her friends.

Sally Acorn (15) One of the few Ring Keeper generations left not trapped behind bars in Robotropolis, Sally is the only Freedom Fighter that works behind the lines of battle and knows all the secrets of the Power Rings and Warp Zones. Being crippled from the waist down at age ten, Sally instead aids her allies with revealing whereabouts of ring wells and where a warp zone to a Chaos Emerald may be located. While being unable to help fight with the other three Freedom Fighters, Sally still plays a role in the team's success. Of course, the others have to make sure she is heavily concealed, should the enemy make attempts to capture, hindering the Freedom Fighter's ability to function.
